2021
The Leanos, LLC has officially launched its new DBA, Reliant Bookkeeping and Tax Services of Southern California. This new DBA shall be representative of our new, unified services effort comprised of Bookkeeping, Personal, Business Tax and Business Property Statement prep, Audit Assistance and Consulting Services for interested Clients. The new DBA and its brand shall continue to provide the same customer service and quality work The Leanos, LLC’s existing Clients have come to know over the years.
The Year 2020 saw unprecedented challenges to both The Leanos, LLC and its clients with the brutal spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic across the United States and the world. Businesses and families alike are affected, with a catastrophic death toll unlike any our generation has ever seen. These, coupled with political and racial upheaval, war, and global environmental issues, have made the year 2020 a challenging year indeed.
However, despite these challenges, I am confident to say that our organization continues to thrive and grow. Our Clients have expressed their satisfaction with the quality of our work, and we maintain a stable client base despite the circumstances. Our outlook is so positive that we have decided to make certain changes that will serve as a platform for our organization to prepare itself to grow and diversify as we see fit.
moreCDTFA Special Notice L-598, and this month's Deadlines
If applicable, monthly prepayments for our Clients who are privileged with this feature, are due on the 24th of this month. We will begin processing the numbers for your prepayments this week, and intend to complete all filings on the 22nd to make room for adjustments if need be.
The following Circular from the DFTFA will be effective as of 12PM Pacific Time on August 12, 2019. This will affect our Clients' ability to access their CDTFA accounts online. Unfortunately, each Client will have to create a new login account if he or she already has an existing login account. The CDTFA has added several, other filing accounts to the new system. How will this impact our operations? We will need to send out online access requests to each of our Clients once again, in order to gain access to their accounts, and in order to file all Sales Taxes and Underground Storage Fees online. As before, please take note that the access requests are time-sensitive. In the interest of expediting gaining access to our Clients' online accounts, the Client may simply take a picture or email the security code on the access letter, and send it to us. You may send us a copy of the actual letter at a later date for record keeping. Per this Circular, Underground Storage Fees can no longer be filed via Paper/Mail, however the CDTFA has yet to release more information about this. We will determine if this is indeed, the case effective immediately once we gain access to our online account at noon on August 12, 2019. The UGST Fees will have to be filed online, moving forward. As such, we will no longer be sending out Payment Vouchers to our Clients who used to file their UGST’s via mail.
